subtank costs nothing, but it is not open source. This licence is the whole of what you may do with it.
1. Use. You may download, install and use subtank free of charge, for any purpose, on any number of Macs.
2. Redistribution. You may redistribute subtank only unmodified — the app or disk image exactly as published at subtank.dev — and only free of charge. You may not sell it, charge for access to it, or bundle it with anything you sell.
3. No reverse engineering or modification. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or modify subtank, or make works derived from it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction.
4. No warranty. subtank is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The numbers it shows come from third-party services and can be wrong, late or missing.
5. No liability. In no event is the author liable for any claim, damages or other liability, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, arising from, out of or in connection with subtank or its use — including a limit reached, a charge incurred or a sign-in lost.
6. Names. The subtank name and the tank icon are covered by TRADEMARK.md. This licence grants no rights to them.
7. Other software and services. subtank includes open-source components that remain under their own licences, which this licence does not change. The services it reads — Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor, Kilo Code, GitHub and others — are used under their own terms; subtank is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
